Padel Court Dimensions & Size

Every official padel court measurement — length, width, walls, net and the space you need to build one — in both metres and feet, explained by a padel court manufacturer.

The short answer

How big is a padel court?

A standard padel court measures 20 metres long by 10 metres wide (65.6 ft × 32.8 ft). That is a total playing area of 200 m² (about 2,153 sq ft), enclosed by glass walls and metal mesh and split in two by a net.

The layout

How a padel court is laid out

The net divides the court into two halves of 10 m × 10 m (32.8 × 32.8 ft). Service lines sit 3 m (9.8 ft) from each back wall, and a centre line splits each side into two service boxes. Back walls are 3 m (9.8 ft) of glass; side walls step down in glass and mesh.

Single vs double padel court size

Almost every padel court is built for doubles: 20 × 10 m. The singles court keeps the 20 m length but is narrower, 20 × 6 m (65.6 × 19.7 ft). For a club, doubles is the standard — see our padel court construction guide.

How much space do you need to build a padel court?

The court occupies 20 × 10 m (200 m²). Allow around 21 × 11 m per court (about 69 × 36 ft) for access and run-off. You need at least 6 m (19.7 ft) of clear height, and 7–8 m (about 23–26 ft) indoors so lobs play correctly. For year-round play, add a covered padel court.

Padel court dimensions FAQ

A standard padel court measures 20 metres long by 10 metres wide (65.6 ft x 32.8 ft), giving a total playing area of 200 square metres (about 2,153 sq ft).

A padel court is about 65.6 ft long by 32.8 ft wide, with a playing area of roughly 2,153 square feet.

A singles padel court is 20 m long by 6 m wide (65.6 x 19.7 ft) – the same length as a doubles court but narrower.

The net is 10 m long and stands 0.88 m (2.89 ft) high at the centre, rising to 0.92 m (3.02 ft) at the posts.

You need a minimum free height of 6 m (19.7 ft) above the surface; 7 to 8 m (about 23 to 26 ft) is recommended indoors so lobs play correctly.

The court footprint is 20 x 10 m (200 m2). Allowing a little extra for access and run-off, about 21 x 11 m (69 x 36 ft) per court is a comfortable minimum.
